Europe Awaits

In September of this year I will be traveling to Europe for the first time in my 34 years on this planet. This blog is intended to be a place where I can record my pre-departure thoughts and where I will also reflect on the experiences I have while in London and Rome once I return.

This trip I’m going on is for my final class at Marylhurst University. It’s sort of a required celebratory adventure, commemorating the last four years of work and my recent graduation. I cannot wait to follow the mythical path of King Arthur from London to Rome and experience the Old World through the lens of medieval art and literature. It’s sure to be one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life thus far!

  1. Hi Katrina,
I love the visual set up of your blog–it is good to have an art major along! You will bring a lovely eye for beauty, color, and art! I love your term for this class–a required celebratory adventure. We need more requirements like that! Pleased to be part of this journey with you–and yes, King Arthur and his mythical journey to Rome!

  2. Hello Katrina,
I’m so glad you’re part of the group. I too am taking this class for my final 6 credits, “commemorating the last four years of work.” I feel very lucky to be able to finish, what for me has been a truly life changing investment, in this way.
